Hello, I'm Denise Caron Layman. As a Registered Dietitian, I take genuine joy in motivating people from diverse backgrounds to heal and thrive in their bodies, minds, and spirits. My work is shaped by compassion and care for every client that I serve, grounded in scientific rigor. With 30 years of experience, andguided by my faith, dedication, and resilience, including frontline work during the COVID pandemic, I balance academic and emotional intelligence to support and partner with you on your unique journey to better health.
I am an experienced therapist with expertise and success in patient care, ethics, academia, and scientific research publication. I create practical nutrition plans for all by developing medical nutrition strategies for individuals and communities, both local and international. Over the past 30 years, I have worked with people of all ages and helped treat many conditions, including metabolic, heart, respiratory, malignant neoplasm (cancer), autoimmune, infectious, bowel, brain, inflammatory, blood, oral, bone, and skin diseases. I also focus on mental, reproductive, and women's health, as well as sports nutrition, always aiming to prevent disease for you and your family.
I see food as more than just fuel. I therefore use narrative therapy and intuitive eating in my practice. With a background in psychology, I create a welcoming space where your story, values and goals are at the heart of our work together.
If you're ready to take the next step, book an appointment, send a WhatsApp message, or use the DCD contact form. Denise will be honoured to walk alongside you, helping you discover how food can support your healing and well-being.
"If you struggle. Keep trying. This is how I did it. It takes a long while. But it can be done."
