About DCD

My professional character is developed through 30 years of experience as a registered dietitian, informed by the joy of learning, discipline and leadership formed by Claremont's Livingstone High School's exemplary academic, and sports culture, and the gruelling challenges of the Veld and Vlei Willowpoint leadership and adventure school (SG.4), 1990.

Growing up during apartheid, these formative experiences showed me I have a tenacious spirit and proved

Today, this history shapes my work as a medical nutrition therapist and published researcher who stays current through UWC. By combining nutrition science with a thoughtful nutrition care process, I help patients manage challenging health conditions and improve their lives through tailored nutrition plans and support.

My mission is to help you exercise the strength of your own independent will, grounded in the quiet conviction that you are able.

Pricing

DCD uses the Nutrition Care Process (NCP)

Rooms and virtual services are offered, as well as in-hospital services.

First consultation, 60mins (R1300):

Medical, clinical & diet assessment, Inner-scan, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention, education, custom recommendations & guidelines

Second consultation, 45mins (R980):

monitoring, evaluation, intervention, Inner-scan weigh in

Follow up consultations, 30 mins (R750):

Inner-scan weigh in and education and/or intervention

Weigh-in, 10mins (R200)

Inner-scan measures: weight, body fat %, lean muscle weight, visceral fat, water and bone mass

Packages:

Discounted packages are available for long term to follow up consultations and inner-scan weigh-ins.

Meal Plans

Costs R750, advised if needed or provided on request.

Payment

DCD is a cash practice. The handling fee to claim from your medical aid on your behalf is R150.

DCD is contracted into medical aid schemes. DCD will claim from your medical aid on your behalf, on request. Medical aid prices are at medical aid rates.

NB! Discounted follow up packages apply to both cash and medical aid patients.
